Immediate Release – The Lebanon Report 2017
Banque Audi S.A.L achieved a total score of 64 percent in the very good (B-) range. The bank did not apply any additional effort to further improve its disclosure of information in all five corporate governance categories. The bank’s rank dropped from the 2nd place in 2015 to the 4th place in 2017 among the 10 listed companies.
With minimal effort, Banque Audi S.A.L could have improved its disclosure of important governance documents such as its full corporate governance code along with the committee charters, code of ethics and by-laws. Banque Audi’s 90 percent score on Financial Transparency is proof of their commitment to transparency. Disclosing the bank’s financials per country they operate in earned them the 90 percent score – the highest among its peers. Had the bank strengthened its disclosure of non-financial information, it would have reflected its real leadership position and advocated actively for a more transparent and accountable corporate Lebanon, hence promoting it as a safe investment destination.
